i mean really, it is august the 15th, and my kids here in southern indiana  are already into the first week of school-it's august the 15th! we still  have 2 weeks until  labor day! it's going to be 93 degrees on monday! to top things off, we tried to take my kids swimming today only to find all of the pools empty.......jeesh.......

i'm all for education, of course it is important, but come on, starting school on the 12th of august is crazy-whatever happened to starting the day after labor day? well, i guess that would mean 3 more weeks that a lot of parents would have to figure out what to do with the kids (don't kid yourself, it's not just about education) ;->
