Did you know toys r us is open til 800 on christmas eve? do you know hard it is to put a bike together without instructions? my wife could not belief how much santa cursed.....
anyway, paying homage to one of my favorite all time movies, i sat on the couch christmas morning, coffee in hand, and asked my children if santa had brought them everything they had wanted this year-my 6 year old son, mature beyond his years, stated, " well, i didn't get everything, but my birthday is coming up, and there is always next year" wow, i was amazed.....
my 3 year old daughter was not as understanding, " i'm mad! why didn't santa listen to me! i told him what i wanted ! i tried, in my best darren mcgavin voice to re-assure her" well, there is always next year.........oh wait, what's that over there, behind the door? "
santa was forgiven, and all was well......even my son found the nintendo ds he didn't get behind the bike......
